You will seek to enhance beauty through proper grooming skills to help in the creation and style best suited to the individual pet and its owner, you will continually educate yourself, your fellow workers and your customers in the proper care and welfare of pets.
You will not discriminate against any person and you will set an example of good will, integrity and understanding towards others by maintaining a professional manner at all times.
As a professional dog groomer, a promise is sought that you will be responsible while caring for all pets and always perform your duties in a humane manner.
As a paid up member, you will abide by the rules of the NDGANZ and may use the NDGANZ name after prior approval of its use and in a way that promotes the ethics of the association.

What is NDGANZ?
National Dog Groomers Association of New Zealand is a Ltd company which was set up in 1991 and has worked over the decades representing the standards, goals, aspirations and image of the Professional Pet Groomers.
Our primary intention is aimed at uniting groomers through membership and in this way we hope to form a professional and sincere alliance that will benefit the grooming industry by recognising the true and committed pet professional.
NDGA provides advanced continuing educational programs in the form of workshops and seminars designed to enhance the expertise and business acumen of professional pet groomers and provides you an opportunity to expand your professional contacts, to make friends amongst individuals with common interests, concerns and goals.
Becoming a NDGANZ Certified Master Groomer
Through your membership you will be offered the opportunity of becoming a qualified industry recognised Master Groomer. This is run annually by workshop and then sitting exams. For more information on how to become qualified read further.
